Ketchum Public Schools Launches Smartphone App

Ketchum Public Schools is excited to announce the release of the district’s smartphone application.  This application will help parents keep up to date with school closings and other district activities.

“We appreciate the tremendous support we receive from our parents and our community, and we hope that this app will provide another channel of communication to keep them informed of our students’ activities and their achievements,” Ketchum Superintendent Rick Pool said.

The app will feature messaging from the district, online gradebook access, school and teacher contact information, lunch menus, athletic schedules, district calendar, and much more.

The app is available from both the Apple iPhone App store and the Android Market.  Links to these sites can be found at the school website www.ketchumwarriors.com.

The application was created by Norman-based developer School Connect in collaboration with Ketchum Public Schools and is free to both the District and smartphone users who download the application. The app contains minimal advertisements, but there have been reasonable restrictions on these to ensure they are appropriate for young users. These advertisements help to pay for the development of the program and keep the cost of the app free for users and the District.
