Reminder: It's House Spirit Day!

Due to weather related missed days of instruction, April 9th will now be IN PERSON learning instead of a virtual day as originally scheduled.

The Big House Assembly for Wednesday has been canceled. It will be a regular spirit day.

We know distance learning can be a challenge, so Mrs. Lee created a Principal's Challenge for this week's distance learning assignments. Students who complete and turn in all assignments will be given a ticket to enter a drawing for pizza and popsicles with the principal!
P.S. Be sure to email teachers if you need any assistance with assignments. We are available to offer support as needed.

House assembly rescheduled!

Reminders!

Check out this information regarding Yearbook Ads.

KES Parents, Here is a list of important dates to remember. To increase participation, we are moving our house spirit day to Wednesdays for the remainder of the year. This will allow us to remind students to wear their complimentary house shirt!

Thursday, January 30th is our 100th day of school celebration! Come dressed in your creative 100th day attire!

Come out and support the Warrior Baseball Program on Saturday!

Reminders!

Cynthia Lopez has been nominated for a Warrior Win! Her nominator says Mrs. Lopez has taken on so much this year and is working hard to perfect the “ins and outs” of our RTI system! She always has a giant smile on her face and LOVES working with the kids! We are lucky to have her on our team of amazing educators. Way to go, Mrs. Lopez!

Mrs. Callison has been nominated for a Warrior Win! Her nomination highlights how she transforms her room to make reading come to life. During her Human Body unit, her classroom becomes a surgical floor to dissect sentences to practice parts of speech in language. Students are equipped with lab coats and surgical masks to create body systems. The room is divided into small surgical sections by hanging white sheets from the ceiling. She also transforms her room into a Viking ship in order to study the Viking era. She brings to life how Norsemen used rivers and oceans to explore Europe for trading, raiding and conquests. She strategically teaches so that students will interact, engage, and remember her lessons. She always has a giant smile on her face and LOVES working with the kids!
Congratulations on your Warrior Win, Mrs. Callison!

We are pleased to present the KES Students of the Month for January, Lydia Banker and Brianna Wilson, both from the house of Isibindi! Way to go, girls! We are proud of you. Keep up the great work!
