Ketchum Middle School

 Mrs. Spielmann teaches 7th & 8th grade science for KMS. She has two degrees in education, one bachelor's degree in teaching science, and a masters degree in environmental engineering. The reason Mrs. Spielmann has interest in teaching science, “ I had a really cool 6th grade science teacher,” says Spielmann. Some of Mrs. Spielmann's favorite things to teach in science are rocks, space, and dead bodies. She says, and I quote, her motivation for teaching is “the snacks the kids bring in their lunch”. Speaking of food, her favorite snack of all time is Oreos. Some of Mrs. Spielmann’s other favorite things are hiking, the color pink, and most of all napping. We asked her If she could pick anywhere in the world to go, she said it would be Tetons.  Something we found kind of strange and somewhat funny is that her biggest fear is lizards, and when she was little she wanted to be a trapeze artist. On another note her favorite movie is “The Martian” because Matt Damon is in it. Something else funny is that her biggest pet peeve is people who don’t share their food.
