Happy National School Counseling Week! NSCW is Feb. 5-9, 2024, to focus attention on the amazing contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week highlights the great impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week of February with lots of love for all school counselors world wide! Our school is celebrating Mrs. Chancie, who has helped numerous students throughout her career. Mrs. Chancie originally had dreamt to someday become a licensed Social Worker but life gave her a different path which led to working here at Ketchum Middle School. Although it is not the same career path she thought she would take, she LOVES working here and feels at home. This is Mrs. Chancie's first year as a counselor here at KMS, she has already helped many students in need. Mrs. Chancie believes a wonderful part of counseling is, which she has experienced,  is when a student informs her that she helped and listened to them which the students also said, made them feel like they mattered. So, on this very special day, make sure to let your school counselors know how much they mean to you by giving thanks and showing gratitude!
