Ketchum Middle School

POETRY MADNESS! In this slam dunk of a project, students dribble through the world of poetry and music using a bracket format. They select their top picks for poems and songs that they feel are connected in theme, mood/tone, and poetic devices. Just as in a basketball bracket, the chosen poem and song advances through each round based on their literary and musical effectiveness. For the championship, students dive into research on the poet and musician. They scout out more of their work to understand their playbook better. In order to bring home the trophy, students showcase their skills by expressing their newfound research and by creating a visual representation that captures the heart and soul of the final poem and song matchup. Game on!
