From the KES crew🧡

We loved getting to see our KES families at our Fall Math and Science Parent Night!
Research on parent involvement at school consistently suggests that when parents are actively engaged in their children's education, students tend to perform better academically, have improved behavior, and develop stronger social skills. Positive parent involvement can take various forms, including attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in classrooms, helping with homework, and participating in school events.
Thank you, KES parents!

We want to send a HUGE thank you to our parent volunteers who took over lunch duty Thursday so our staff could sit down and enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner together. Thank you Rebeka Vaughn, Sandye Berga, Emily Lee, Amber Wigington, Jordyn Inman, Jessica Johnson, Janet Johnson, and Sarah Flaming! We are thankful for our wonderful community!

It's Wheel Spin Monday! Wear your house colors!🖤💙❤️💚

Feast your eyes 👀 on some of Mrs. Weaver's Art students' fall creations! 🎨

Veterans Day Program 2023- honoring those who have served and continue to serve our nation❤️🤍💙 Thank you for your service!

Hats off to Mrs. Callison, third grade teacher! Her classroom was turned into the KES Hospital’s Surgical Wing on Tuesday, and all students were Surgical Residents for the day.
Everyone was on a surgical team, and each team created the system they were assigned in their Operating Room. Throughout the process all teams “charted”, and in the end, they made their rounds. During rounds, each team had to tell the class which system they created as well as its function.
What a great culminating activity for the Human Body Unit and great example of active teaching and learning at KES! Students' creations will be on display for Parents Night on November 16th!

Congratulations to Colton Rudd, 5th grade student at KES! Colton competed in the AFR Speech Contest Tuesday in the AFR/OFU Novice Division and earned first place! He is STATE BOUND and will compete December 3rd in Stillwater. Way to go, Colton! 👏🏻

Popcorn Friday is a big deal to our kiddos and Mercedes Burkholder saved the day! Thanks so much, Mercedes!
